GMTV Kate Garraway on the red carpet in London

Tuesday8 January 2008-I am on the train to London to start the task of selling the Pimlico flat.Thursday 20th.April 2006- Watched BB2’s The Apprentice last night and I was surprised to see someone I actually know-Nick Goble Winkworth estate agent whom I first meet in Winkworth’s Pimlico office when I was looking at flats in the Pimlico area. It will be interesting to see if there is an increase in business at Winkworth's as a result of Winkworth's being featured on this very popular show. I have Ruth ”The Terrier” down as the potential winner of The Apprentice.Tuesday 11th.April 2006-We have been very busy over the last few days ordering the new .eu domain names and we have a lot of exciting new websites planned that we will be creating links to as soon as we have the websites designed. Some great things coming soon. .Friday 18 th. November 2005- Keira Knightley was named Britain 's sexiest woman today. Keira the star of Pride and Prejudice fought off competition from Abi Titmuss, Sienna Miller and Kelly Brook to win the accolade from Esquire magazine. Keira Knightley’s "perfect" looks and laid-back attitude helped Keira scoop more than a third of votes in the Esquire magazine’s online poll.I had an interesting conversation with a visitor to Edinburgh called Matt Thomas from Devon down in the deep south of England. Matt has just finished his degree in Computer Science and he was in Edinburgh , having a few days holiday before he commences what has become a popular student money earner by subjecting himself to medical research trials at the Inveresk Research Centre near Edinburgh. Matt and myself got talking and he was interested when he discovered that I own Edinburgh Media who produce a number of very popular and highly regarded websites including the famous Edinburgh Castle website Edinburgh Castle During the conversation about the power of the Internet Matt Thomas Devon Boy asked me if I had seen the Million Dollar Homepage which is and I told him I had not seen the Million Dollar Homepage but I love to see new ideas and this Million Dollar idea seemed like a fantastic new idea that I am sure will have lots of emulators so we should be seeing plenty of variations of this featuring almost every currency in the world!
Wednesday 5th.October 2005 -Watched Crimewatch tonight and I pleasantly surprised to see how tasty Fiona Bruce was looking. Fiona was wearing a nice tight deep green dress that showed off her firm little breasts and her drees was short enough to reveal that Fiona has a nice pair of legs. All in all I think Fiona would look fantastic in black stockings and suspenders-Fiona Bruce MILF definate candidate
Sunday 28th. August 2005- found this on a web forum about the Natasha Kaplinsky wedding -"noticed she'd got married. I don't know what it is about her but there is something not quite right there, not sure what. don't want to be the grim reaper but I wouldn't bet on it lasting either, dont know why"
Thursday 18 th.August 2005 - We have been inundated by requests from our London Now website visitors for information about the BBC’s Natasha Kaplinski’s and Justin’s upcoming wedding and it looks like Natasha is as popular as ever although many of her male fans will be a little disappointed. We will be giving you details of the Natasha and Justin wedding in the future.GMTV'S Kate Garraway wedding will be the next big thing the breakfast TV fans will be interested in, and we will keep you posted about the wedding, as soon as we get the details of Kate's big day.

Sunday 7th.August 2005 - We were surprised to hear of the sudden death today of Robin Cook one of the most well known Scottish polititians on the Westminster scene. Labour's Robin Cook died from a heart attack while climbing hills in Scotland with his second wife. Robin Cook was attacked by the tabloid press a few years ago when he left his wife for a younger model, and he ended up marrying her. Robin Cook resigned from his Labour Party Cabinet post as he strongly disagreed with his party over the Iraq war and made what was to be regarded as a famous resignation speech in the House of Commons.

Monday 18th. July 2005 - Jose Perez from The Wallbed Workshop, Battersea, London came to my Cambridge Street apartment this morning for final discussions on the installation of my wall bed which is being manufactured in France. We are informed by the French wall bed manufacturer that we should expect delivery a week this Wednesday. We will be designing and building complementary wardrobes to match the wall bed. I am anxious to see this space-saving bed installed and I am excited about the prospect of sleeping on my new luxury wall bed. After Jose examined the area in my apartment where the wall bed is to be installed, we drove over to The Wallbed Workshop to see some of the new items that had arrived. After I left The Wallbed Workshop I browsed around the neighbouring Battersea Park Road shops, and thought that this was a great area to shop for anything to do with modern home interiors. In immediate proximity to the Wallbed Workshop are Wood Empire Ltd., Kithchen Haus, Knots Interiors, Highly Sprung and Highly Sprung Inside Out, Wall to Wall, The Carpet Gallery, Brazen Glory, Geoffrey Harris, Mish Mash, Stonewall Direct just to name a few.

Sunday 17th. July 2005 - Another beautiful sunny day in London and I ate breakfast in a cafe across the street from Victoria Bus Station, and as I surveyed the bustling street scene I was struck by the large number of Polish people who were embarking from the arriving buses. I estimated that 90% of the persons around the Victoria Bus Station area were Polish, and it made me wonder if there was anyone under the age of 30 remaining in Poland!

Saturday 16th. July 2005 - London Now visited the South West Fest today in St. Georges Square Gardens, Pimlico. Residents of Westminster, and the surrounding areas, had turned up with their children in large numbers to attend this interesting and fun day out. Because of the London 60 Year's since WWII celebrations, the theme of the South-West Fest was heavily slanted towards the forties. To invoke a wartime period feeling, there was a marquee where girls were styling the festival attendees hair in various 40's hairstyles. There were also girls in attendance, authentically dressed in summer frocks of the period, which must have brought back memories to some of the older festival visitors. Glen Millar style music was provided by an orchestra, and festival visitors were invited to try out Jitterbugging and other World War II era dances, by dance instructors also attired in period costume. There were festival stalls provided by local youth clubs, the Belgravia Police Department and various local resident associations. For the young children there was plenty to keep them occupied, with the most popular being the perennial favourite - the bouncy castle. For the slightly older children there was a mechanical bull which nobody seemed to be able to master, even at the reduced speeds that the operator was running the bull at. The most interesting stall for the writer, was the stall staffed by ladies from the Westminster Libraries Archive Department. I got chatting to Llinos Thomas, the attractive and interesting archive librarian, who told me she had worked for the Westminster Archive Department for 9 years. I purchased a reproduction old Pimlico/Sloane Square map circa 1913 and a small book titled "Guide to Pimlico" by James Dowsing, which should help to improve my knowledge of Pimlico and the surrounding Chelsea area. I noticed another publication titled "Tracing the History of your House" by Alison Kenney which had a useful list of websites which should make your house research easier.

Sunday 10th July 2005

Today London Now was in The Mall to support the Veterans' 60 year celebration since the end of World War II. Crowds thronged the whole of The Mall enjoying the show presented to them on large screens. The writer agreed with Londoners that no-one presents pageantry like the British, and the weather for the celebrations could not have been better. The highlight of the festivities was the dropping of 1 million poppies from a World War II Lancaster Bomber. After the poppy drop, hundreds of children (and quite a few adults) were scrambling on the ground outside of Buckingham Palace picking up as many poppies as their bags and pockets could handle.

Saturday 9th July 2005

Today Queen Elizabeth II unveiled the War Memorial in Whitehall to the ladies who served in World War II. London Now photographed the new memorial, which is in the centre of Whitehall, just along from the London Cenotaph.

Wall Beds London - I never fail to be impressed when I am exposed to innovation, especially when one can steal a space in a London property, and so increase the value! The Wallbed Workshop in Battersea Park Road has one of the best selections of wallbeds in the whole of London. But what sets them apart from normal wall bed retailer is that Jose Perez, their retail shop manager is a practical man, and before he became their wallbed workshop manager he was one of their highly skilled wall bed fitters. José is one of the most knowledgeable and friendly persons I have encountered on the London retail scene, and it was a joy to listen to Jose as he is so rightly enthusiastic about the quality of his beds on display. Sunday 5th. June 2005 Introduced another deserving diner-my electrician, to my favourite London bargain eatery the Chelsea Kitchen tonight.Eric was amazed at the quality of food at such exceptionally low prices served by charming, friendly girls from various parts of Europe. We went for the tradition English Sunday treat of roast beef and Yorkshire pudding and it was very good and just what we nee ed after a hard days work on the London studio.Very tiring drive back to Scotland as we were involved in a cotaflow which held us up for an hour. -London Guys and Dolls Wednesday 1 st.June – The celebrities turned out tonight to watch Ewan McGregor make his debut in the London West End musical Guys and Dolls.
McGregor’s former Star Wars co-star Natalie Portman was at the Piccadilly Theatre London to watch the Scottish actor play Sky Masterson.
The 34-year-old actor delighted the audience by singing on the London stage which is a big drop in salary for him as his fee is usually £6 million per movie.
Ewan the Scottish Trainspotting star said at the Guys and Dolls after-show party: “The first night can sometimes be a bit uptight but tonight was fantastic.
“I've performed for Joan Collins, how cool is that?"
He said of his shaven head Star Wars co-star Natalie Portman: “I didn't know she was in the audience.” Jane Krakowski who was the character Elaine Vassa in the hit TV show Ally McBeal is Ewan McGregor’s co-star in Guys and Dolls which is probably set to be the hottest musical ticket in London . Some of the names of the theatre go-ers tonight were Andrew Lloyd Webber, Graham Norton, Elaine Paige, Amanda Holden, Richard O'Brien Mary Archer wife of disgraced peer Lord Archer , Richard Wilson and Tamara Beckwith. 6th. May 2005 - Prime Minister Tony Blair won a historic third term in The General election but with a reduced Labour majority. This is 8 results from the central London area of the winning MP’s

Battersea- Martin Linton (Labour) - 16,569 votes

Islington North- Jeremy Corbyn (Labour) - 16,118 votes

Streatham- Keith Hill (Labour) - 18,950 votes

Cities of London and Westminster- Mark Field (Conservative) 17,260 votes

Vauxhall- Kate Hoey (Labour) - 19,744 votes

Regent’s Park and Kensington North- Karen Buck (Labour) 18,196 votes

5th.May 2005 - This is the day of the General Election and I will be casting my vote tonight. The general feeling I see that most people think that there has never been a time where the competing parties seem so similar in their policies and it is not as clear cut as usual to form a decision as to who they should vote for. I had a friend from Paris and his family turn -up unexpectedly at my office this morning, so we went for coffee then a pleasant lunch.

4th.May 2005 - We have been busy with our London Now Hotels Section and we now have direct links in place to some of London's best hotels situated in the most popular area's for tourist and business visitors.

1st. March 2005 - How time flies when you are having fun!- or soon I will be. Very cold today and a mixture of sleet and snow. Tonight it turned to a fine light snow and my Australian and New Zealand guest were delighted as for them snow is a novelty and I tell them I only like to see it on Christmas cards as it is not to romantic sloshing about through snow on city streets. Must have an early night as I have been dashing about most of the day getting furniture bought and picked up for our future London abode.

11th. March 2005 - I was sad to hear of the death of the Irish comedian Dave Allen. Dave allen was a favourite of mine years ago and I enjoyed his observations of the human race and all their idiosyncrasies. He was one of the first to openly poke fun at the Catholic Church and get away with using the F word on TV. Things have changed a lot, and we take it for granted hearing swearing on television-especially as Billy Connolly has been doing it constantly over the years. Dave Allen was the comedians "comedian" and I am sure he will be missed.

12th. March 2005 - Another cold day in the UK but at least it was dry. Lot's of Welsh supporters in Edinburgh drinking up a storm as they get ready for the big match at Murrayfield Rugby Stadium tomorrow. Wales are the favourites to win but who knows Scotland may get lucky. You can watch the match tomorrow from the comfort of your own home but if you want the real atmosphere of an International game you have to watch the game live in Edinburgh. Whatever the result the Scottish fans will give the home team the enthusiastic support that they are famous for and we know the Welsh will be singing loudly as well.

13th.March 2004-The weather is nice and bright at the moment and the view from my office window onto the Carlton Hill in central Edinburgh is fantastic when the sun shines. The Carlton Hill on it's north side is heavily tree covered and it is great to see all the different colours of green as the trees start showing their leaves. My garden is also looking promising as I see there are daffodils coming out and some bulbs are popping their shoots out of the ground. I may tidy up in the garden later today and re-pot some of my box trees which I am tending.

14th. March 20005 - Weather is getting warmer and it is supposed to get warmer each day as the week progresses. They say it will also get wetter so lets hope they are wrong on that score but right about the warmer. The exchange takes place today on the London studio so that is good news as it has taken a long time to get all the papers in place and now I look forward to the completion of the sale and getting the keys for the property at last. I will be going down to London by train and hopefully getting some work done on the studio and work will continue on the London Blog. I can keep the site fresh when I am in London and get a lot of London items in place on the website.

15th.March 2005 -This should be the big day when the studio in London becomes mine. Has been a long wait but I know as it will be worth it and I will be happy with the property as it had a good vibe to it from the moment I walked in the door. Some things just feel right from the start and walking into this property was it. Will keep all those interested in the London property informed as to how it is all going along. Took the 8am. train to London as this is the day that I get the keys to the Pimlico property. Went to Hampton’s the Pimlico property agent who are handling the property and my appointment is for 1.p.m.. On arrival at Hampton’s I find out hat the papers are delayed slightly so I will have to wait a bit for the keys. Get a phone call from Hampton’s at 2.20p.m to inform me that the paperwork is all in place and the property is now officially mine so come immediately and pick up the keys, It is an exciting moment when I get the keys and let myself into Cambridge Street. It seems a long time since a first located the property and I knew automatically that this was the right place for me.

16th. March 2005 - Had an uncomfortable night sleeping on eight cushions on the floor while I await the arrival of my furniture from Scotland. I must find a bed for tonight. Went to Peter Jones at Sloane Square and was gong to buy a folding guest bed but then they told me I would have to wait a couple of days to get it delivered but I told them I needed the bed right now so they lost a sale. Seems crazy that they do not keep an item like this in stock-they must loose a lot of sales through this. Discovered there was a sports shop on Kensington high Street who keep inflatable beds in stock so I went her. Just made it in time as it was late night shopping and I arrived there at 6.50p.m. and they were going to close in 10 minutes. Bought a double inflatable guest bed and it i great as it has a built-in inflator in the bed which you pump up by foot so it is very convenient.

17th.March 20005 - Thank god I bought the bed as I managed to get a decent nights sleep on it so it has paid for itself already. As luck would have it I ran into a discarded double bed mattress at lunchtime so I got a taxi and took the bed to my flat-pity I did not get this the day before as it would have saved me the trouble of running all over London trying to locate a bed.

18th.March 2005 - Starting to find my way around London a bit easier, Went by train out to Croydon and visited Ikea. I bought some bed slats to make the base of my proposed new double bed and some scissors which were badly needed. The hotdog's at Ikea must be one of the biggest bargains you can get nowadays and the ice cream is also good value. Took advantage of the self-service wrapping service where Ikea offer brown paper and string. Good thing they have this facility or I would have a had a hard time bring my things back on the train. Have found an easy way to get back to my flat from Victoria Station as there is a bus stop just around the corner from the main entrance where you can get a 10c bus to Lupus Street which is just a couple of minutes walk from my front door.

19th. March 2005 -- I went to a London market this morning called Borough – lot’s of specialist foods and the stall holders are all cooking bits and pieces outside you can try all sorts of foods and drinks-even people who grow their own grapes and make wine and cider producers. A mixture of yuppies and lot’s of your fellow Americans who are living in London where buying things there. The weather was fantastic-70f and everybody was in t shirts. There is an old church alongside the market and everyone was sitting on the grass having picnics as it was like a summers day.

20th.March 2005 - I went to the famous Sunday Columbia Road flower market where all the London trendies buy their flowers and plants cheap. It is like London's Portobello Road market for flowers and the place was packed. It is the first time I have been to Columbia Road but I had found out about it after seeing a garden makeover program on TV. I got ”stuck-in” and bought a whole load of plants-so many I had to go and get a taxi and I filled the taxi completely! I also bought a steel window box which has a finish to make it look like lead-very London Now!

21st.March 2005 - The electrician is due to arrive tomorrow so I am looking forward to his arrival and getting the improvement work underway at the flat.

22nd.March 2005 - Electrician has now arrived and he has brought along most of the furniture and misc. other items I require. The van is not as large as I had imagined so the large TV had to be left behind so I will have to find another way of getting it down to the flat.We moved the water tank-which was a big job from the kitchen and re-situated it in the toilet area of the bathroom. This has opened up the kitchen area and the whole place looks larger already. This was the only work that took place today as the electrician could only work a couple of hours today.

23rd. March 2005 - The work continues. I am acting as a gofer and running back and forward picking up supplies that are needed for the job.It is not easy trying to locate suppliers as there is no B&Q'S this area of London and the closest one I can find is at Wandsworth Bridge. Getting to Wandsworth Bridge entails a train from Victoria Station to Clapham Junction then a bus up to the shop-quite a trail but there is no alternative that we have found so far.

24th.March 2005 - We have used the latest fashion of electrical switches and power sockets which are made from brushed stainless steel and completely flat to the wall. The electrician has cut channels in the bathroom wall after removing a strip of the tiles and hid the piping and power supply for the shower in the wall. I had a few of the Pimlico locals looking down to the patio admiring my handiwork with the arrangement of my various plants. The young guy upstairs who has a flat says he will have to get me to do his balcony so I am off to a good start with my new neighbours

25th.March 2005 - Friday seems to have come very quickly and the electrician can only give me another day's work at the moment as he wants to drive back up to Scotland on Saturday night so I will help to get the job moved along as much as possible. We have made big changes already as we are putting in a sophisticated lighting system and the electrician has put the main part of it in place. In the centre of the sitting area we have gallery type mini-spotlights and in the centre of the kitchen area I have put in a multiple 5 branch spot light fixture. We have lighting dimmer circuits that you control just as you come in the door.

26th.March 2005 - We have used the latest fashion of electrical switches and power sockets which are brushed stainless steel and completely flat to the wall. Once we have all the holes re-plastered it will look fantastic but at the moment it is in the "building site look" state.

27th. March 2005 - A Happy Easter to you to- I was supposed to go at lunch time with my family to a restaurant in South Queensferry for our Easter lunch but I just got back at 7am yesterday morning after driving through the night in my electricians van from London .

28th.March 2005 - Well have finally got myself back in action in Edinburgh and I am busy as usual. Have my friend who helps me out in the office off sick so I am having to answer all the phone calls myself and we are amazing busy here considering it is a cold day in March and it is raining heavily in Edinburgh as it has all day

7th.April 2005 - Cold today in Edinburgh but it is nice and bright as the sun is out. Three things are dominating the news just now The General Election, The Pope's funeral and this Saturday's wedding between Prince Charles and Camilla his long-term lover. The wedding has been plagued with difficulties and was originally scheduled for This Friday but the date had to be changed to Saturday as it clashed with the funeral of the Pope. Even the famous British horse race The Grand National time has had to be changed because of the new date of Charles and Camilla's wedding.

8th.April 2005 - Sun is shining and it is a really nice day in Edinburgh. Tomorrow is Prince Charles and Camilla's big day as their ill-fated wedding is to be held at last in the Guildhall Windsor. Charles is marrying his long-term lover in the Guildhall in Windsor, then their reception is in Windsor Castle. Now for the exciting news and the reason that most of our visitors come to this page of the London Now website.

9th. April 2005 - Today is the big day for Charles and Camilla-can anything else go wrong? I am more interested in The Grand National which takes place 20 minutes later than normal(because of the Royal Wedding) The Grand National is the only time of the year I have a bet on a horse race and it has become a traditional for me to place my annual bet on this race. There has not been as much press coverage of the race as normal because of the Pope's funeral yesterday and now the Royal Wedding but this will not stop the horse racing fans turning out in large numbers for the big race and betting record amounts of money as usual. There will be more members of the great British public betting on this race than any other horse race this year. Stop Press - 12.50 p.m. Prince Charles and Camilla have just left the Guildhall in Windsor as man and wife so Camilla is now The Duchess of Cornwall. The Duchess of Cornwall was wearing a white 2 piece suit and a large white hat by the famous London fashion designer Philip Treacy. 2.50 p.m. - Charles and Camilla have just received the blessing from the Archbishop of Canterbury in St.Georges Chapel Windsor . The Countess of Cornwall had changed intro a light grey dress before her arrival at St. Georges Chapel Windsor and she also had a change of hats. When the Queen and the Duke of Edinburgh arrived at St. George's Chapel just before Charles and Camilla and the Queen was dressed in an ivory coloured coat and matching hat. At the London Blog we try to give you the news first and as it happens. Today is a historic occasion and the wedding and blessing has taken place after weeks of speculation and changing of dates and venues. Today was a rare site for Royal watchers as you rarely are afforded an opportunity to see the whole of the Royal Family together. Prince William and his brother Prince Harry looked as if they were enjoying themselves with the occasion and even for them it is rare that they would see so many of their relatives together at the same time. When William and Harry arrived at the chapel they were accompanied by Sara Phillips and she is looking for tasty indeed. Sara was wearing black boots and a bright dress which showed her curvy figure to good advantage. Prince Charles and his new wife The Duchess of Cornwall will be honeymooning in Scotland .Tonight a friend and myself went to Rick's Bar in Edinburgh which is a stylish cocktail bar in Frederick Street Edinburgh. We struck up a conversation with a couple of nice Edinburgh girls when they enquired about what type of drink my friend was drinking. He told them he was having a Campari and soda and we asked one of them called Debbie what she was drinking. Debbie told me she had ordered a cocktail because she is a fan of the recent TV program Sex and the City and she had seen Carrie order this particular cocktail but on trying it she did not like it. I relate this story as it shows the power of the media and highly touted programs like Sex in the City influence on modern culture. It transpired that Debbie was so influenced by Carrie (the actress Sara Jessica Parker) that she ended up ordering a pair of Manolo Blahnik's shoes by the famous shoe designer Manolo Blahnik. It did not stop there as Debbie was carrying a Dior bag adorned with large chrome decorative Dior logo letters. Debbie Haldane is a dance instructor specialising in tap dancing at Edinburgh's Dansebase in the Grassmarket. She was accompanied by her attractive brunette friend Dawn who works as a cashier for a well known firm of Edinburgh solicitors.

10th.April 2005 - We have been inundated by requests to our London Blog for information on the engagement of Natasha Kaplinsky so here is the detailed information you have all been looking for.

Natasha Kaplinsky has has become engaged to 32 year old investment banker Justin Bower of UBS Warburg. The engagement proposal was made in the last week of March during a holiday in the Maldives. Natasha had only known him for two months and they met on a blind date. An insider said: “Natasha has only known Justin for a matter of weeks but she feels differently towards him than to any of her previous lovers. Natasha, 32, met the rich ex-public schoolboy after breaking up with dance instructor Brendan Cole, 29, who she won Strictly Come Dancing with, partly helped by the amazing chemistry between her and Brendan (who she had been seen house hunting with back in January) Natasha’s fiancé Bower is a former pupil of Charterhouse School and is formerly from Croydon, Surrey, where his parents, Robert and Ellen, manage a recruitment consultancy. Justin lives in a £650,000 house in Fulham, London, across the Thames from Natasha’s home in Chiswick An insider said: “Justin made sure everything was perfect with the proposal and spent weeks choosing the ring. Last year Natasha split with her boyfriend of 11 years, management consultant Michael Barnard, when it was revealed that she’ d had an affair with Lloyd Bracey, her old boss at Meridian TV. Kaplinsky, 32, began her career working in the BBC typing pool until the late Jill Dando put her in touch with her agent. Natasha worked for Meridian TV regional channel then went on to London Today and London Tonight programs and Sky TV. She landed her BBC job in 2002. Natasha Kaplinsky was once asked who her fantasy partner would be. She replied: "Prince William. I'd make a great queen. I know he's a bit younger than me but I've always wanted to be queen." It is not known what William thought of the idea. Anyone who came up with a statement like that would not be happy being the partner of a lowly dancer and Natasha Kaplinsky definitely has her sights set on higher things in life.

12th.April 2005 - I am flying to London this morning and I am excited to see my place as it has been two and a half weeks since I left London. It will be interesting to see how my plants on the patio have survived without me having anyone watering them in my absence. I am looking into the purchase of an automatic watering system to do the patio. This will entail the installation of a water supply on the patio to connect the system to. Looks like it should be a good day weather wise for my journey to London.

26th. April 2005 - Mixed up weather in London today -classic April showers just like in the movies.

Saturday 26th. Feb. 2005 - Weather in Edinburgh today is bright but it is cold. The city is very busy as today is the big match at Murrayfield Scotland v Italy so lets hope Scotland have better luck than they have had so far in their other rugby matches. P.M.- good news for Scottish rugby fans -we have beaten Italy so there will be much celebration in the Edinburgh bars tonight. The biggest rugby match for bringing rugby fans into the city is coming up next month when Scotland play Wales . Wales are the hot favourite to win the championship so Scotland will have a very hard game on their hands.

Friday 25th. Feb. 2005 - Arrived back in Edinburgh and when I left London City Airport at lunch it was snowing. Good news from the pilot when he made his announcement after takeoff that the weather was much better in Edinburgh . We landed at Edinburgh Airport and it was sunny but very cold but a lot better than the weather I had just left in London . Really enjoyed the flight to Edinburgh and got some very good views of the Forth Bridges as we were flying into the airport for our landing. Managed to take a photo of the Forth Bridge so will post it on the website if it comes out OK.

Thursday 24th. Feb. 2005 - Very cold in Edinburgh today and I hope the weather in London as I am flying down to London today to sign the papers to complete the deal on the London property-the new home of the London Blog. Just checked the last eight entries that came in to the site from search engines and these are the results: penny smith , kate garraway , pics kate garraway , kate garraway, Arrived in London and it is very cold here as well. Going to Pimlico and then will go to Fleet Street then back to the hotel in Victoria . P.M -starting to snow and this is the first time I have been in London when it snowed. In Scotland we always think the weather will be noticeably warmer down south but they can get the nasty weather as well. The good thing about the British weather is that it is highly changeable so the bad weather is unlikely to last for to long

Wednesday 23 rd. Feb. 2005 - Weather in Edinburgh where I am today is very snowy. I will be flying to London tomorrow morning so I hope the weather will improve. Trying a fly by Scotair to London City airport for the first time so it will be interesting to see how that goes. Most of the discount flights available fly either to Gatwick or Luton Airport so you have a long journey into central London . I will be meeting with my solicitor in his Fleet Street office then I intend to met up with a London estate agent I am dealing with and see the future base of the London Blog in Pimlico.

Tues. 22nd. February 2005 - Just heard the 1 p.m. news on London 's Heart FM radio station and the people of Edinburgh have rejected the proposed congestion charge for Edinburgh city centre. This idea was put to a postal ballot vote by the Labour Party morons who are in power in Edinburgh City Council. Thankfully the sensible people of Edinburgh who pay some of the highest council tax in the country voted no to this proposal. Edinburgh only has a resident population of 500,000 people so it is like "Sleepy Hollow" when you compare it with London . The London shops (at least 85% of them) have complained that the London inner city congestion charge is hurting their business. We already pay the highest tax on the planet for our fuel, but the Labour powers that be are determined to squeeze every last bit it can out of the long suffering British public. Let's hope for some relief when we have the next General Election - and let's all hope that they do not expand the London congestion zone any further. Dame Ellen MacArthur was on GMTV this morning being interviewed by our friend Kate Garraway and it was a contrast in female types- Kate feminine even in a pin-striped trouser suit and Ellen MacArthur looking very butch in jeans and a chunky polo neck. Tues 11 p.m. - The people of Edinburgh have rejected the dreaded congestion charge 3 to 1 and showed more sense than the labour morons who wasted £8 million of our money devising this stupid scheme. Let's hope the residents of London have the good sense to push the powers that be not to enlarge the congestion zone as that zealot Ken Livingstone wants.

Sunday 20th. February 2005- Today it is freezing cold and the TV newscasters are informing us that snow is on the way. We have been really lucky as so far it has been a mild winter and we look look forward to perhaps a warm summer. I am hoping to use the small patio of the Pimlico apartment I am buying to have some barbeque's as we have in my garden at my Edinburgh house. You can't beat the taste of food cooked outside and in Edinburgh last summer we burned a lot of wood and made our own charcoal out of branches that we cut from my tree’s during a big garden clean-up. Cambridge street Pimlico can look forward to the nice smells drifting upwards from my property!
Monday 21st. February 2005- What a day-it has been snowing on and off all day and we have even had hail. One minute it will be sunny and the next it is snowing. Jodie just called me from London and told me it was now snowing in London and that was at 4.30 p.m. so it looks like the snow is all over the country and the Londoners have not escaped the snow. Snow to me looks good on a Christmas card but is no fun in a city when you have to slush around in it. Just spoke to the boys on the High Street and when Martin and family went north last week they had god snow up in Aviemore. They have been really worried in recent years i the Scottish ski area as they have not much snow and thought they would have to close down the ski resorts. Their will be a lot of people in London inspired to go skiing after seeing snow fall in London. Good to see the lone around the world yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur was sailing her boat up the Thames and saying a big thanks to the people in London for giving her such a great welcome home. Ellen MacArthur is an amazingly brave and dedicated individual -there is no way I would ever attempt hat type of journey the QE 2is about the right size for me.

Saturday 19th .February 2005 - very cold today we could get snow next week but the weather makes no difference to the London Blog as the whole idea of the Blog is to keep blogging away and lay down some thoughts.

Sunday 13th. February 2005 - Left Edinburgh this morning and met up with Jodie at Victoria . She had never been in Pimlico before and she was very interested in seeing the London property that we are in the process of buying. Jodie and myself walked through the centre of Pimlico and we continued up Cambridge Street Pimlico and she was able to see the studio from outside. We walked on to the Embankment and walked along the banks of the Thames to the Tate Britain where the new exhibition on Turner, Whistler and Monet was attracting a lot of visitors. There is a marquee erected outside facing onto the Thames where one can have a coffee so we decided to have a coffee and a scone. We checked out the times of the exhibition and as it was very busy we decided to see the exhibition another time when the crowds had died down. On the way up Kings Road we meet a nice girl called Karen Phillips who was attending The London Fashion Week in the park at Battersea. Karen Phillips works at WGSN and she was attending The London Fashion Week as her job is to keep abreast of the latest trends regarding the colours and styles that will be fashionable in the future. Karen Phillips WGSN London went to property in Clapham Clapham property is hot I am told by Clapham property expert Nick Goble

Saturday 12th .February 2005 - I am in Edinburgh today and the city is packed as the Rugby International is today at 4 p.m. Ireland v Scotland . So be an interesting game as Scotland played better than they have in recent times when they had their game with France last weekend. You can watch the game live on BBC1 TV today. Will be going to London tomorrow morning for a couple of days and I am looking forward to meeting up with an Australian ex-employee of ours who has been working in the hotel industry down on the south coast. Sat. 12 Feb. 3 p.m. - This is the last 6 searches that have come into the London Blog- penny smith skirt, penny smith photos GMTV, kate garraway, GMTV penny smith stockings, photos of television presenters, kate garraway photos GMTV.

.Friday 11th. February 2005 -Just spoke to my friend in the London Pimlico property market and he informs me that the London property market is picking up so now may be a good to to buy London property while the prices are soft. London Clapham seems to be a favoured areas at the moment. The areas of London that are desirable is stretching all the time as the average london flat or house buyer has to move further from the traditional hot areas as the prices in the past for this type of London property have been so high.

Thursday 10th. February 2005- Pimlico property seems to be really hot at the moment and I think you will find the estate agents at Winkworth Pimlico London really know what they are doing when you get them to find you a Pimlico property to rent or to buy -think Pimlico property think Winkworth Pimlico!

Wednesday 9th. February 2005 - I have had a number of people asking me about London property lately as they know I have been actively engaged in trying to buy a property for myself in London . Clapham property has been requested and I know an excellent Clapham property estate agent called Winkworth Clapham. If you are looking for Clapham property for rent or Clapham property to buy you should contact Winkworth Clapham as they are the experts in the Clapham property market. There is also a Winkworth Pimlico and I have found Winkworth Pimlico very helpful when it comes to locating Pimlico property for sale. I will be keeping an eye on the London property market and giving you any tips and telling you about individuals to contact whether it is Pimlico property or Clapham property to rent in Pimlico or buy in Pimlico and the same diligence will be used helping you buy or rent properties in Clapham. The other hot area for London property is Battersea and I used to visit a friend who had a flat on Prince of Wales Drive in Battersea. Winkworth also have an office there and Winkworth Battersea can help you locate the home of your dreams in fashionable Battersea. Winkworth should see an explosion of house sales in Battersea as the famous Battersea Power Station is set to have millions of pounds spent in re-developing the Power Station itself and the surrounding area. Battersea looks like being one of the area's of London to live in as estate agents have told me that it will be on a similar theme to the famous Chelsea Harbour but it will cover a far greater area and be more dynamic.

Tuesday 8th .Feb. 2005- We are looking for suggestions as to who you would like to hear about or see on the London Blog so if you have any ideas email us at .In Edinburgh today it is a bit cold but least it is dry and the sky is bright and so far it has been a mild winter.

Monday 7th. Feb. 2005-. The British yachtswoman Ellen MacArthur tonight smashed the record for the fastest person to sail single-handedly around the world non-stop. The yachtswoman was sent “warmest congratulations” by the Queen after completing the journey in 71 days, 14 hours, 18 minutes and 33 seconds - well done Ellen from The London Blog.

Sunday 6th. Feb. 2005-Received a Memorandum of Sale from London for the property in Pimlico so it looks like we have secured the property - just got to pay for it now. Weather in the UK is mild for this time of the year (8°C) hope this means we are going to get a good summer as last year was not very good.

I agree, they are classy ladies who happen to look great, act sexy and have lovely bodies. Are Kate Garraway and Penny Smith the reported ladies who are having a lesbian affair?- wishful thinking from a writer who is having fantasies of them both together. -from

Thursday 3rd. Feb.-London Blog has had an offer accepted for a studio in Pimlico so all going well we should complete the deal in 1 month which will be good timing for us completing the Londonnow website and giving it an official launch. We were contacted by a friend of Londonnow who told us they never realised what a wonderful pair of breasts Kate Garraway had and they said they never watched Kate in the past but they would certainly be watching her show now!

Friday 4th. Feb. 2005 -There has been so much interest in Kate Garraway that we decided to find out what was the top 6 most requested searches for Kate on the Internet search engines and this is the result: No. 1 Kate Garraway pic ,No. 2 Kate Garraway picture ,No. 3 Kate Garraway in stockings, No. 4 Kate Garraway GMTV, No. 5 Kate Garraway in swimsuit, No .6 Kate Garraway gallery. Tell us how you would like to see Kate and we will put your ideas up on the London Blog. Requests for Kate to

Wednesday 2 nd .February 05-London Blog has been contacted by various individuals who have property for sale so things are looking promising on the London property front and hopefully we will find something suitable soon. Trying to find a reasonably priced London flat is proving to be more difficult than I imagined. Tomorrow morning we can look forward to a pleasant start to the day as Kate Garraway will be presenting the morning show for GMTV and let's hope Kate is wearing something which showcases her ample charms. Had contact tonight with a Pimlico estate agent and I think we may have a deal on a Pimlico studio which would be ideal for our use.

Tuesday 1 st .Feb. 2005 - Londonnow is attracting a lot of interest and we are moving ahead in developing the website so we can have an official launch in the near future. should be the website to check when you want to find in-depth details of what is happening in London now. The quest continues to find the London flat. A London estate agent is checking out some studios near Regents Park , so we await the results of his findings. Regents Park London as not one of my initial choices but I am prepared to look at any property that has close proximity to a tube station. The London estate agents tell me that there seems to be a fair bit of activity now as we come out of the slow season of Christmas and New Year, but I feel the market is soft at present ,and some of this is hype in an effort to try and keep up the prices of London property. Just got back after watching London ’s battle of the giants Arsenal v Manchester United-what a game with the explosive speed of Rooney and the quick feet of Ronaldo Man U showed their old style and thrashed the London team on their home ground-2. Chelsea will have to watch out- the big prize is not in the bag yet!

Monday 31st.Jan.Kate Garraway will be on GMTV soon-only a few days until we see Kate Garraway in all her glory. Just checked the existing London blogs and near the top is Belle de Jour which is now available as a book-after a quick glance it all seems very tame and I think it would be more exciting if we had a daily rant from a slapper in Shoreditch with some good graphic sex after staggering home from the local Chinese take-a-way. The perpetrator of the London Blog has been back and forward between London and Edinburgh over the last few weeks trying to locate a central London property for sale. Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated. I have looked at properties in
Pimlico, Chelsea,South Kensington -but so far to no avail. I am looking for a studio or a one bedroom flat preferably with it's own entrance as we need to acquire a place to stay in and work. You can contact me at and addresses it to the Manager. In my travels to London I have found the Pimlico office of Winkworth to be very helpful and I appreciate the help provided by their boss Mr. Nick Goble in trying to locate the right London property for my needs. I like the Pimlico area as it has a village type atmosphere even though it is deep in the heart of central London. The thing I like about Pimlico is it's close proximity to places I like such as Sloane Square and the King's Road. I have been stopping in to the Chelsea Kitchen on the Kings Road which has the tastiest food for the least amount of money.Over the years it has never ceased to amaze me about how they continue to offer such good value for money in what must be one of the most expensive locations in central London.

Sunday 30th.January 2005 - this is the first day of the London Blog and I thought it would be topical to get up an amazing, revealing picture of Kate Garraway the highly fancied London based morning TV presenter. Legions of British males start their day by fantasizing about Kate.Kate Garraway can next be seen on Thursday 3rd,Feb, from 7.00a.m. to 8.35a.m. on GMTV.

Jessica London? Jesssica Simpson? - we go looking for London England and all sorts of strange results show up, must be old fashioned- when I think of London I still have the images in my mind of London buses, London Big Ben, Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and the other icons that to me say London.

I have found an amazing hotel accommodation bargain in the heart of London, minute's walk from Victoria Station London, in the centre of Pimlico. London hotel bargains like this are very hard to find and they offer single rooms for very low rates.
